These are: finding the license plate region, segmenting the letters/numbers in the found plate region, recognizing the segmented character by optical character recognition methods. Various methods are preferred in plate region detection algorithms. The most popular of these are artificial intelligence methods. Plate region visuals are taught to the system, allowing the software to find plate region.
If a vehicle is added to “White List” section; Barrier which is integrated to the system will be opened by plate recognition system when the plate added to white list is matched with recognized plate. If a vehicle is added to “Black List” section;Barrier which is integrated to the system will not be opened by plate recognition system when the plate added to black list is matched with recognized plate and the system will give a warning.
